It was great to meet with Mark today. I came away with a very good understanding of Stronger Philanthropy and how joining the community would help our charitable organization. I am very excited about the opportunities to work together.

My meeting with Mark Peterson to update him on our charity - Inner Hope Youth Ministries - far exceeded my expectations. When the internet connection was challenging, Mark realized that I was at a retreat center half an hour down the road. He offered to drive out the following day and meet in person. Mark cares about the needs in our world and does everything he can to support partnerships that will make a transformational difference. The recent updates to the Stronger Philanthropy website make it very easy to access helpful information, to submit project profiles & grant applications and to easily see the history and status of our applications.

From my perspective, the impact that Stronger Philanthropy has had on our community is truly remarkable. Mark and Nathan Petersen's visionary leadership has been instrumental in steering the organization towards initiatives that genuinely make a difference. Their commitment to creating positive change is evident in every facet of Stronger Philanthropy's work.

One aspect that particularly stands out to me is the collaborative approach taken by Mark and Nathan. Their ability to foster partnerships and engage with local organizations is nothing short of inspiring. It's clear that they recognize the strength in unity and are dedicated to working hand-in-hand with the community to address pressing issues.

My Global Gates Canada colleague Jon Summers and I are deeply thankful to Mark Peterson for his very helpful and kind consultation call with us this morning to help us understand why our recent grant application was declined, how/what to learn from the declination experience, how to improve a future grant application, and the potential future timetable for resubmission. Though we were understandably disappointed that our application, was declined, Mark gave us some practical handles for improving and sharpening things for potential future consideration.

Karen Pascal and I so appreciated Nathan's leadership throughout the site visit. We had the opportunity to really tell our story as the Henri Nouwen Society and share our particular passion for our Spanish Ministry program. Knowing the love the Petersen family has for Latin America, it really felt like a conversation of co-creation with the Spirit of God for bringing the spiritual wisdom of Nouwen in a contextualized and enculturated way to Spanish speakers. Thank you to Mark and Nathan for participating with us and contributing to make this project even stronger in scope and depth.
